stardustcboy's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Counting Down the Minutes *tick tock tick tock* man, i'm almost out of here. the boss gave the go-ahead for everyone to leave at 2pm today so i'm just counting the minutes 'til 3-day weekend freedom! we'll be heading up to the Cabin By The Lake this weekend with PirateMow and MowTar as well as a handful of family and friends. i'm sure good times will be had by all indeed...jugs of beer, fat blunts, wake-boarding, swimmin' with the fishes... how can you lose? anyway, just trying to kill time here. i wanted to send some love out to everyone who's really feelin' the sting of Katrina...those who have loved ones down there, or know people who do, or even know folks who lost everything... 'tis a tragedy indeed, but let us not lose site of the great lessons here. be thankful you still have your lives, and/or the lives of those you love...there are many who weren't so fortunate... as for loss of property? well, you know what tyler durden says... "it is only when you've lost everything that you are free to do anything..." well, that's more credit to the author of fight club than tyler durden the character, but you get the drift. point is that above all things material everyone must remember the value of human life. that objects, trinkets, no matter the nostalgic value are worth nothing compared to family and friends and other human beings. big thanks and much love to those who donate the bucks to people in need at this time. compassion is probably one of the best human traits, and in the end i think it will be compassion that saves our wicked little asses... anyway, there is much to be done, and many more a hardship to overcome both on a personal, interpersonal and global level. stop worrying so much and start to make differences in your everyday lives...change the world one person at a time...accept hardship and pain as a natural part of the cosmos...be strong and have faith... and kill your television. make the best of this weekend friends...it may very well be the last... live, love, grow, evolve... 1:01 p.m. - 2005-09-02 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
