stardustcboy's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ...All Steamed Up and some other stuff... hey everyone! happy friday! *phew!* that was a real steamy story!! i'm pretty proud of myself actually, i hope you all liked it and masturbate vigorously to it later tonight! or better yet, go and get yourself involved in a similar experience! aaaaanyway, i'd like to point out my NEW favorite diary. ladies and gentlement, introducing Ms. DaemonChild! check her out when you get the chance...i think she's cool...and if you don't, well then you're just a big wanker! ;-P so i've been havin' lots of fun with this crazy GOLD member shizZap. i made my very first SURVEY! did you all take it? yeah i thought so! well then, git yer asses over there and take it GODDAMMIT! it's only ten questions and they're all so easy it's amazing. it'll probably be the easiest survey you've ever taken in your life. leave some criticism too. go ahead and flame me all you want, i'm thick skinned and don't usually let piss-ant cyber-kids get me down...also, i have special software running that allows me to track people through the net, so if you say REALLY bad, nasty and mean things i'll just come to your house and pee on your front door. kidding! so what else has been goin' down? oh yeah...yesterday i was tryin' to add an entry and my computer was flippin' out...here's what i wrote: *phew!* i was havin' problems loggin' in to my diary there for a minute...browser just FrEeKeD out! alas, i managed to get it all worked out and now have time to sit down and write a little blurb. soooo...HeLLo all you cyber-kidz! hope your day has gone well. guess what? tomorrow is friday, and if you ask me, thursday night pretty much counts as friday! woohoo! so today was spent polishing some animations for the x-files game. we passed alpha a-O-k so now we're movin' into the next phase...BeTa. for those of you not familiar with all the videogame mumbo-jumbo, alpha is when all code and art assets are finalized and a complete version of the game is burned to DVD. this begins the first phase of play-testing, which is ALPHA. during alpha, they hire play-testers to come in and play the game over and over and over again. there are two objectives: A) - break the game as much as possible. when the game breaks and freezes or crashes these are what is known as an "A, B or C type bug". A or B type bugs are bugs in the code that can completely ruin the game and force the player to turn off the machine and restart. a third class of bugs is also reported, C bugs, which are tiny little bugs like monsters walk through walls, or animations playback weird, or the character can jump at a desk and fall through the geometry of the world, etc. B) - report said bugs to the coders and artists so that they can fix them as well as give any input as to what aspects of gameplay just aren't working or are too vague. BETA is really just a second round of testing, but unlike ALPHA, there should be little to no A or B bugs present during BETA. after BETA is complete, they take the complete game and burn it to DVD and submit it to sony or microsoft and the publisher (in the case of x-files it vivendi-universal) for approval. if everything is good, and everyone is a bunch of fonzies, and sony and VU say it's cool, then the game goes "gold". meaning that it is burned to a master disc, mass produced, packaged and shipped to the stores. just didn't want ya'll to miss out on all the mad ramblin's of your dear narrator just because of some silly little technical issues. OH! and thanks to Ms. DaemonChild for: A) - signin' my guestbook! always such a wondrous thing!
