when it all comes falling down...the FDA, the government, and God will not save you...

hello everyone! it's been dark around here in StarDustLand...but ne'er you fear my loves (those of you who still read), i am merely busy and i haven't fallen off the face of the planet. wanted to pop in and point out an odd lil contradiction i spotted in the headlines over the past few weeks...

today's headline on CNN.com

Synthetic Marijuana Drug Coming to Chemo Patients

...and about a week or so ago...

FDA says NO to medical marijuana

i'll give you some time to think about it while i go and make a cup of coffee...

...

...

...

...

...okay i'm back. you read those articles? don't you find it rather odd that the FDA would release a statement saying "no" to the medical uses of weed, then turn around a week or so later and say "yes" to a pill that does the same thing...maybe even more (it is after all like taking weed concentrate)?

the messege that the FDA has clearly just sent me is this (not that i've been saying this all along)...

"Drugs that aren't sold by us are bad."

they certainly didn't achieve their goal of informing me that medical marijuana use has no medicinal value.

it's like talking out of 2 sides of your mouth. like someone saying "hey kids, don't do cocaine because cocaine is bad." then that night doing an 8 ball off of various parts of a womans body.

this is all just case in point.

FDA is basically a dope pusher. the FDA makes money off of approving drugs for the miserable and neurotic masses. it allows them their fix, gets them high, and numbs the pain of an otherwise ass-backward upside-down society.

the FDA gets its drugs, not from south/central american DRUG FARMS, but from good ol' fashioned, red-blooded, patriotic, capitolist, pharmacy companies...or DRUG PHARMS (my term, i got a copyright).

it's all about money in the end. drug pharms make money from the sale of the drug, FDA makes some money from the sale of the drug as well as the enforcement and approval of said drug. medical insurance companies, and subsequently the doctors who work for them, get paid by the DRUG PHARMS to sell their dope to patients (undeserving or not).

and yet, we as americans just can't understand (or they refuse to acknowledge) WHY teen prescription drug abuse is 'entrenched'?

or WHY more teens are commiting suicide?

or WHY more children are using antipsychotics?

from the first article it's fairly evident that it's because the FDA SAYS SO. prescription drugs are SAFER! get high kids!!!

woot!! let's hear it for the DRUG PHARMS and government approved DOPE!!

basically what we have here is this...

drugs, prescription or otherwise, are not the cure-all. they merely should serve as pain/fever/swelling reducers. i'm not a scientologist (because they're morons), but i just can't bring myself to believe that the common psychiatric/behavioral disorders of modern day can be alleviated or cured by "medicine"...because i think that today's "medicine" is nothing more than fancy DOPE. i think that all of this is the result of several sociological factors...

1) - improper parenting (not LAZY or POOR parenting). average Mr. and Mrs. Joe Family are too busy running the rat race to take proper care of their kids. they drop them off at the daycare and run off to their 9-5, sometimes 9-10 jobs. by the time they get home they don't want to deal. they're tired, beat up, cranky, hungry, and basically burnt out. so they flip on the Almighty Box to zone out and shut their kids up til bedtime. this results in...

2) - the development of unrealistic expectations in the youth of america. they grow up with liquid opium light streaming into their noggins. whispering dark promises of fame and fortune, popularity and acceptance, and the easy path to happiness, joy, success and well-being for the low cost of $19.95!

3) - this is reinforced by the public school systems, who have their hands tied when it comes to discipline. kid gets outta' line they pretty much can't do anything about it and the rest of the children suffer. what's the answer? DOPE 'EM UP! get 'em on some prescription meds! A.D.D. made 'em do it! it's not because they were poorly raised by burned out and overworked parents. it's a MENTAL DISORDER that is EASILY cured by a COCAINE/AMPHETIMINE derivative. meanwhile, those kids who can't wear the nice clothes and live the lives of the characters they see on TV get all bummed out because they get picked on by the snotty upper-middle-class kids who can have mommy and daddy by them their gear. being completely burdened by surging hormones they get sad, start thinking about killing themselves, and since mommy and daddy are too busy, don't really have anyone to talk to at the end of the day who can give them SOLID ADVICE on how to cope with their emotions. so they go to mom and dad's drug cabinet and pop some vicodin...aaaah, all better now. that or they take the straight razor and apply it liberally to their wrists. then everyone freaks out! oh no! timmy's lil cry for help! oh dear! it's OBVIOUS timmy is depressed, what do we do? let's put him on some anti-depressents!!!the others don't wanna' go out that way. they want to make those fucking jocks pay for throwing them in the trash can and kicking their ass after school. so they grab the .357 out of dad's gun cabinet and take it to school, and if not a gun, a knife so that when those cock-sucker bully's come again, they'll be ready...oops! they were caught! what do we do? obviously the child has some serious mental problems coping with the "stress" of day to day interaction. let's put them on some anti-psychotics!

3) - a complete and total aversion to pain and suffering. i'm sorry folks, but pain and suffering are natural parts of existence. but yet we're told that somewhere there's this happy place of bunnies and butterflies with chocolate rivers and gum-drop rainbows...and it can be found in this lil pill right here...OR in some sort of new consumer product! there is no LIFE without VISA!! i don't want to hurt! i don't want to be sad! waaaaaaah!!! deal with it. it's only getting worse. the whole world is becoming PUSS-a-FIED. "safer" playgrounds for children. "safer" cars. "safer" baby-seats...shit, when i was 5 i rode with my dad in his DATSUN pickup truck, i rode in the front seat...STANDING UP. am i dead now? NO. why? because my dad DIDN'T DRIVE LIKE A FUCKING ASS-HAT. that's right. people who feel "safer" in their cars drive like fucking morons. it's worse if they have a "safe" babyseat, then they just slap a "Baby On Board" sticker on the bumper and they can TOTALLY drive like shit then. children who have "safe" playgrounds don't know the character-building pain of a splinter in the palm of their hand, or a bump on the noggin, or falling of the monkeybars and getting the wind knocked out of 'em. they grow up thinking the world should be this safe, womb-like place where nothing can hurt them and happiness is ENTITLED.

NEWSFLASH!!!NEWSFLASH!!!NEWSFLASH!!!

the world owes your ass NOTHING. you were born, and you die. period. that's about all you're owed.

4) - a complete and total disconnection from reality. it's not realistic to make average joe american man or woman work 10-12 hours a day then expect them to raise a healthy family, pay bills, run errands and relax on TWO DAYS OFF. it's not realistic to for average joe american to think that buying shit they don't need is going to save them from the Great Equalizer (aka Death), and it certainly won't make them feel any better about their sorry lives, the state of the world, or their fucked up bratty, pussy, pill-popping, psychotic children.

the revolution must happen from within. starting with the individual. but the way we live is so deeply ingrained in us that there's just no way save the complete and total collapse of society.

i ask everyone these simple questions...

if tomorrow you woke up and there was no electricity, no power, no working water systems what would you do?

how long do you think a state of anarchy can last in a post-apocalyptic world?

how long would it take for all the grocery stores, hardware stores, clothing stores, and other consumer outlets to be completely looted?

what would you do to get water?

what would you do to get food?

do you know how to catch, clean, and cook a rabbit? any animal?

do you know how to plant, grow, and cultivate edible plants?

do you know how to make your own clothes?

do you know how to make weapons from sticks and stones?

do you know what a lean-to is?

how do you clean and suture a wound?

how do you deliver a baby without a hospital?

how do you store perishable foods without a refrigerator?

how do you cure meat?

how do you can vegetables? how do you make strawberry preserves?

how do you make bread?

how do you make cheese?

how do you make BEER?

how do you survive in desert conditions?

how do you survive in freezing conditions?

how do you survive in inhospitable conditions?

how do you make a boat?

how do you sail a boat?

how do you use a waterwheel to generate electricity?

how do you make paper?

how do you make ink? paint? pencils?

how do you cure a hide and make it into leather?

...

can you answer any of those questions? wake up!

if the world as we know it came to a screeching halt tomorrow, with no restoration or salvation in sight, what would you do?

you could loot stores, but meat and perishables would be useless without refrigerators. you'd have to grab canned goods. fruit, vegetables, bread all would go bad eventually...then what? what about water? sooner or later the stores are going to run out. then what?

what happens when you don't have drugs to kill the pain? what happens when your shiny new H2 doesn't count for shit? what happens when the lights go out around the world? not just for a day, not just for a week, but for YEARS? when society crumbles under its own weight, when the rich break the backs of the poor and hungry beneath them, what happens? when the government is powerless to save us? who will save us? who will save THEMSELVES?

from where i'm standing, and consulting my magic 8-ball, "outlook uncertain" baby.

if people don't like pain and suffering, then i'm not really sure if they've really, honestly plumbed the DEPTHS of pain and suffering.

our leaders are corrupt. our brothers and sisters are lost.

"we are the middle-children of the new millenium...our great war is a spiritual war...our great depression...IS OUR LIVES."
