Seperationism...a Visual Aide...
FIG A
take a look at Figure A above. What do you notice? if each symbol in Fig. A were a person, how would each person in Fig. A be defined? if Fig. A represented a room full of people, would these people be able to communicate effectively with each other?
FIG B
in Figure B above we have drawn a line between the two different types of symbols seen in Figure A. now we have seperated the symbols based upon type...in this case, male and female. if Fig. B was a room and the line in the center were a wall with no windows or doors, how would it effect communication between the people in the room?
FIG C
in Figure C we have further seperated each symbol by its color. now each symbol is set apart from all the others. if Fig. C represented a room with people, and the lines represented walls with no windows or doors, would communication between the people be possible?
FIG D
Figure D illustrates one more border that can be drawn. it is the border that seperates the symbols from the field in which they sit, and that which exists outside that field. what do you see? if Figure D represented a room with people, and the lines represented walls with no windows or doors, how would the people in Figure D communicate?
