WELCOME TO THE YEAR 2000-SEX!! hi-ho everyone! so now that the new year has gotten rollin' along i've decided to sit down and outline some goals for the year. not RESOLUTIONS per se, just GOALS. you hear a lot of talk of "new year's resolutions" around this time of year. here is a list of the 3 most popular... 1) - i'm going to work out more and lose weight! 2) - i'm going to stop partying so much. 3) - i'm going to quit smoking! well let me just say right off the bat that my GOALS are none of these ever-so-commonplace RESOLUTIONS, most of which fail after 2 months anyway. no, instead i will list my GOALS for the year... 1) - drawing and painting more!! i really, really, REALLY miss the raw, tactile sensations of pen to paper, paint to canvas, and getting messy in the process. working in the digital realm i've lost touch with the visceral experience of the artist. the surge of creative energy as the unadulterated inspiration surges through my hands onto the paper. the pencil shavings and eraser dust, the charcoal smudges and the paint daubs. i yearn to feel it once again and THUS, i will begin to do so more often and with ever-increasing frequency! 2) - i need to be more active. not because i want to lose weight or whatnot. i just want to reduce the amount of time on my ass from 70% of my waking day to like maybe even just 50% of my waking day. this can take many forms, like walking or riding a bike (my favorite) when doing errands around my neighborhood, or getting involved in some sort of sporty activity (like softball, or volleyball or something). i hate "working out"...to me it's utterly pointless. i like doing things with a palpable and tangible result or purpose other than "lookin' goood" to me that's a result that is not immediately evident; but playing a game is one of these things, so is riding my bike to the bookstore. each has a defintive result (like winning and having fun or reaching a physical destination). i'm gettin' fuckin' old, i'll be 30 in march, i gotta' keep the machine well oiled and lubricated! 3) - speaking of lubrication! since this is the year 2000-SEX i need to return once again to my naughty sex devil ways! i need to become re-tuned to my sex-MoJo-magick! so more sex! the kinkier and nastier the better i say! so bring it on!! 4) - i'd like get back to the "blogging" as the young hipsters call it. in the past 5 months my ratings and viewership has dropped to like 2 or 3 people. not that i really care who is reading my journal, i mean, it's not a fucking highschool popularity contest; and i've found that if you're not constantly writing about sex and butt-fucking and nasty shit, OR are uber-political/philosophical then people sort of wax and wane at random. SO, in the spirit of 2000-SeXxX i hope to return to the raunchy sex talk of earlier days...this ties in to the more sex...if i'm gettin' nasty more often, then i'll have more nasty to write about! everybody wins! :-P 5) - in the same vein as writing and creative arts and such. i really would like to have a finished first draft of my screen play by year's end. that would be cool. that pretty much sums it up. i think all of the above would be achievable in the span of a year. let's see how it all works out shall we? that pretty much sums it up for this entry. i think over the course of the next few weeks i'll be focusing on the philosophy behind the Society of Sensation and what it really means to be a Sensate. i've noticed that the membership is starting to boom in this particular ring and i feel that the one page description i have, though a good start, is somewhat inadequate at completely capturing the spirit of the Society of Sensation. i think i will also do a major template revamp as well! new pictures! new colors! new year!! woohoooo!!
