stardustcboy's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ...Happy Thanksgiving!... it's 11:50am on November 25th 2004. Thanksgiving Day. i'm thankful for this moment. this second. soulful house music pulsing through my speakers. blue sky outside, 73 degrees. JeLLy's in the shower. Sushi's sleeping on the chair. the hiss of the cigarette as i draw my breath and take a puff. the taste of the cinnamon coffee, flavored with toasted almond creamer. i'm thankful for everything that led up to this single moment. my parents...no further...their parents...no even further... that cosmic instant, the massive release of matter and energy. time dialated, sub-atomic particles formed atoms, atoms formed molecules...across time/space. aeons and aeons spinning, spiraling, dissolving, re-coalescing. a few trillion years later. me. a great many amazing, catastrophic, and blessed events had to unfold for me to be sitting here. thank you...whatever...whereever... this moment is a miracle. and so is the next, and the next. every breath i take is a testimony to that miracle, every beat of my heart. yes, yes, there is much to be thankful for today and every day preceeding and succeeding it. there is always room for improvment, but one must examine ones accomplishments, no matter how seemingly insignificant they are. it is truely miraculous. thank you, thank you, thank you! thank you JeLLy. thank you mom and dad. thank you grandma and grandpa. thank you sisters, cousins, aunts and uncles. thank you friends, compatriots, and fellow americans. thank you frenchmen, englishmen, chinese, japanese, dirty-knees, look at these! thank you all who came before me. thank you great men who made/make the world better. thank you artists for the beauty you create! thank you to anyone who cares. thank you readers! thank you!
