YES! let the MAN/MACHINE INTERFACE ERA BEGIN!! thought everyone would be somewhat fascinated by these two links... pretty damn awesome, eh? imagine a world where everything is controlled by your thoughts! your car, your house/apartment, electronics...all with tiny lil bio-organic rat-brain computers inside them. you interface with the rat-brain computer via your BrainGate chip. you and the machine are one, your thoughts controll it. via your BrainGate you can "call" your friends...it's telepathy! with a thought you can contact your best friends, your family, your girlfriend and speak to them...WITHOUT SPEAKING! distance is no longer a problem! everyone you love is a thought away! one day all of human knowledge and experience will be within your reach. your mind will be wired to a massive database...a library of human history and learning...need to know about the 2nd world war? with a simple thought you have all the data immediately downloaded into your cerebral cortex. need to know how to fix a C130? no prob! zzzzzzzip! bam! you know! EVERYTHING! suddenly all the rigid structures of our modern society will dissolve. in this age, if information is power, what happens when all the information in the world belongs to everyone at once?!? goodbye to social heirarchy and status. what happens when everyone knows what you know? we will no longer be defined by our knowledge, we will be defined by what we create. the act of creation is singular...no two people will express it or do it alike...they may be similarity...but individual perception defines the end result. i can imagine that the idea of becoming lost in the collective is terrifying most of you right now, but that is not it at all. just because you know what everyone else knows doesn't decrease or nullify your individuality or your uniqueness. so get over that. again, what you CREATE defines you as an individual... anyway, let it begin! i hope everyone's halloween weekend was fun and exciting; and that you all are recovering nicely on this fine monday evening. i myself had a fantastic weekend...and Maisumi Max is fucking HOT! oh god... that's all i'm gonna' say. i'll be back on to write more about my adventures. until then take care out there! my heart is full 4:51 p.m. - 2004-11-01 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
