stardustcboy's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ...Another week...it all seems to bleed together after a while... aaaah the weekend is nearly near once again my loves. to me...thursday is pretty much like friday anyway. i mean, it's just ONE day away from the weekend...WHY NOT go out and drink a bucket of vodka? hmmm? i mean, you only have to slog through friday before the blissful release of the weekend is upon you...besides...you can always hit the bar during your lunch break for a little "hair of the dawg" you know? hehehe! anyway, weeks been all right. i've been wrasslin' with this here animation for the whole durn week. they asked me to clean up and polish all the (shitty) dog animations. so i go about my business, using my godlike animation skills to make 'em look real sweet; and lo...due to some odd technical issue that i have YET to solve, NONE of the work i've done is being exported into the game properly. so the dogs are all like halfway buried in the ground and they don't move around they just sort of kick their feet and move their head. horrible i tell you. i just don't know why it's doing it either. i've tried every work-around; troubleshot my ass to the point of no return; and still no dice. BETA submission is next monday the 17th and i was hoping to have all this shit done by then, but now it's lookin' like it may not be possible. hopefully i can work all this crap out by today... in other news, i had an interview at EA Los Angeles for a position as a Lead/Senior animator on the Medal of Honor games. it went pretty damn well, and i must admit that i am quite sold on the idea of joining their company. i still have a certain love for the Ops, but man, you just can't beat an 11% bonus every year, or a week's paid vacation for Xmas, or STOCK OPTIONS, or 401K plans (Ops began to open 401Ks but then renigged due to "bank problems"), OR free lunch and dinner, OR being able to animate without dealing with stupid crap like the shit i was mentioning in the earlier paragraph, OR working with ex-disney animators! it just all seems fantastic...not only that but they're movin' their base of operations down to Playa Del Rey...and for those of you who don't know...Playa Del Rey is HELLAH pretty; and i've ALWAYS wanted to live there...mmmm...*sigh* so, i'm still awaiting a reply. i'd imagine i'll hear something by monday next week. ideally i could take the time to finish this xfiles crap and then take off, but if they give me an offer i can't refuse...well... oh, before i forget, i'm going to take the time to do a shameless plug. for all you videogame junkies out there... TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES is now on store shelves for $49.99 (both Xbox and Ps2) and FUGITIVE HUNTER is due out on the 17th for $39.99 (Ps2 with Xbox release later) terminator is just like the movie with some added film footage and some first-person action as well as some rockem' sockem' 3rd-person fighting action between arnie and the TX10000 or whatever that robot bitches name was... fugitive hunter (or as i like to call it ROCKEM'SOCKEM'FUGEES) is a box of cheap thrills. plunk down the cash on this game if you like the idea of blowing up al qaeda and takin' down terroristas, then goin' full on fist-to-cuffs with bin laden and other evil doers. you get all sorts of weapons to choose from that you can use to blow the shit out of evil and you can win the game in like ten seconds. so get it, it's cheap, it's OKAY graphics-wise and game-play wise; but overall it's an excuse to take out any remaining anger you have over 911 and this whole iraq situation. *ahem* so yeah, that's the story morning glories. just a quick update and hello. to all of you visiting, i know you're here. my stats tracker shows me your IP address and where you clicked from so you can't just lurk about and think you'll get away with it... so SIGN MY GUESTBOOK! hehehe! gotcha'! be good out there my loves. know that if i was with you i'd probably be licking you all over your body...oh wait...nevermind i said that! have a great weekend! next up...self discovery... licksucklicksuckfuck ~B-) 8:44 a.m. - 2003-11-13 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
