...Forced vacation...

hi ho everybody!

yet another sunny day in Cali. the nice thing about not having a job is that i get to enjoy stuff i don't get to when i'm working, i.e.; sunny daze!

though i'm serious stressed about the whole rent thing in a few days...my meagre severence from mythos has dwindled down to a pithy 123 buckazoids. a far, far cry from the $890 due by the 3rd. YiKeS!!

how i'm goin' to pull this one outta' my ass is beyond me...time to work hollywood 'n' vine again? porn? starbucks?

i filed for unemployment but that shit ain't comin' until second week of april which still won't make the rent deadline.

hmmmm...when there's a will there's a way i say. i've got my recruiters lookin' hardcore and so far they've dug up quite a few possibilities, it all hinges on my reel which is near completion. once that's done it is merely a waiting game until someone bites. then it's interviews (which will be tricky to make without a car) then on to offers and moolah. which will be much appreciated by your dear, poor, debt-riddled narrator.

so here goes...i'm using another of my superpowers, the ability to bend my will and make things happen...(if only it would work for the damn lotto then none of this would be any problemmo - but such is the nature of superpowers).

so anyway, here i am.

i was thinkin' on this whole war thing (who isn't these days?) and a few interesting thoughts/questions came to mind.

after all this war stuff how will bush go about handling his presidential campaign? i was thinking about it. with all the dissention of the american people about the way he's been handling things abroad and domestically i'm wondering if there may be more voters at the polls this next election. i suppose it depends on how long this conflict lasts and whether or not our attentions turn elsewhere afterwards. i mean, if bush can drag this thing on long enough, he could use it as fodder for his campaigning. i suppose the way he handled the post-conflict iraq would have a massive impact as well; but at the same time if he turned his attentions to kim jong II in N. korea with his crazy nuclear giant roboto technologies he may have another reason to stay in office.

what i'm hoping is that when the iraq conflict is near an end, the american people (feeling pressure from foreign allies/countries) will rally to elect a more humanitarian president. someone who will look out for human rights and work to equalize relationships with all nations on earth. this type of person would be well suited to dealing with post-war iraq as they will not be as warmongering and hot-headed. that would be ideal. someone of this caliber would also lift the spirits of the american peoples and thereby the crumbling economy and would approach problems with N. korea in a different way.

hopefully people will be more inclined to get their fat, lazy, whiney, good-for-nothing-non-voting-asses to the polls and get someone in there who can mend some of the rifts that el presidente busho has created.

i always like to put myself in others' shoes and see things their way. you know, try to achieve an understanding with the way they are and why they do the things they do.

let's see, if i was mr. bush...

hmmm...the economy is in a slump, we've got two countries waving WMDs around what should i do? one country has nuclear weapons capable of reaching our homeland, the other may or may not have biochemical weapons but otherwise poses no real military threat. tactically, it would be best to make an example out of one of the naughty lil' weapon-waving chitlins than go after both at once. iraq has been a thorn in our side since i-don't-know-when and N. korea would be like revisiting a nightmare. let's put pressure on saddam and show kim jong II just how we handle little misfits.

if i were saddam...

i'm rich as hell and no one can stop me. if i can just keep the whole WMD research under wraps then i can be king of the middle-eastern world. oops! they found out, damn! all right then, let's see if i can drag my feet a little, maybe they'll back off like last time and i can start the research programs again later. N. korea has a bomb, if i delay and delay and delay then maybe they'll take their attention off of me and look to the guy who's wavin' around the nukes. well...er...no...they're still poundin' at the door. these damn americans! i'm gonna' play the innocent lil dictator to try and win international favor and turn some of america's allies against them. after all, russia and germany have both sold me arms in the past i'm sure they wouldn't want the US to know about that! a little pressure here, a little sand-bagging there and they'll be off my back in no time. hey! i know! i'll wait until they move in and start blowin' things up, then approach the UN and accuse them of criminal acts and material breach of UN charters! it's perfect! while i'm doin' that i'll destroy any evidence of research of WMDs and play the innocent victim. haha!!

if i were the leader of an international terrorist organization...

hmmm...it seems there is a large mobilization in security of the devils. at this point any attempts at destroying the evil ones will probably meet with failure. they think we're in with saddam and iraq, eh? foolish and arrogant devils. very well, let them think what they want. i will send sleepers to all the cities of their blasphemous nation and they will wait. wait until the war on iraq is complete. when the evil ones move in to secure the area the majority of their monetary resources will be spent rebuilding. security will slip because the fat pigs will surely be more arrogant and self-assured. that will be the time. the sleepers will rise, destroy the hospitals of major cities across their foul nation. then, followers of allah will rise and take to the streets in jihad. everywhere there will be destruction and the women and children of the devil's will cry tears of blood and pain. sleepers will target major population centers - malls, churches, airports. they will kill many people and spread a plague that will destroy the profane beasts and all that they stand for. their hatred and evil will only expediate the process, causing their entire nation to collapse in on itself with anarchy and chaos. mWuaHahahahahahahahahahaha!!

yep. there is so much more going on behind the scenes than we could ever imagine. there is no telling what plots and subterfuge lie in the hearts of men of power. and a lil ol civvie like me probably only has the slightest fraction of the big international picture.

i'd imagine that one of the most destructive and crippling thing terrorists could do is attack hospitals. just blow up major medical facilities and their staff. then, strap some bombs on and some chemical agents or biological agents and blow yourself up in areas with lots of people. since the hospitals are out there won't be anyone to take care of the injured or sick, and what remaining medical facilities there are will be overflowing with casualties and the injured. then just cripple the power and let the riots begin. just look at what happened with something as simple as rodney king. you think any semblance of law and order would remain in a city if both its power and medical response centers are gone? not only that, do you think the general populace would act cool, calm and collected when sleepers are goin' off like m80s on the fourth of july? diabolical? oh yes indeed!

you should all be glad your dear narrator is not a terrorist leader. instead be glad i'm just your average irish-mexican civilian.

*sigh*

no need to fear my little friends. just be happy with what you have and live as though tomorrow you will die. that way, when you wake up, you can be more appreciative of the fact that the cosmos has graced you with yet another day to do right. this will all end eventually and perhaps we'll all be more the wiser.

so do like i do and drown your sorrows in a bottle of gin, a phat blunt, and some serious videogame fun! booYaH! nothin' like a little escapism to take away the blues.

rock steady cyber-babies!

up, up and awaaaaaaaay!
