...DrAiNo fo' da' BrAiNo!...

there's a ton i want to write about...but i've got a sort of block...so instead i'm just gonna' spew some stuff out...dranO for the BrAiNo!

lots of contemplation...it seems my mind is never quiet...not in a bad way...but a good way...like tons of ideas and stuff just keep popping out...so fast i can hardly keep up with everything!

*phew*

in so many ways i wish that i could live for a thousand years! you know what you could accomplish if you had a thousand years to do it?!? man...i could be everything i ever dreamed of! an astronaut! a scientist! an engineer! you could live almost 30+ lifetimes in the span of a thousand years! too bad you couldn't change your sex at a whim...just to live a lifetime as a woman...then switch back...or not! that would be fun.

some people would be afraid to live that long. i'd imagine you might get a bit lonely...but how? i mean, the world is crawling with other human beings! you'd have a thousand years to meet them all...and their children...and their children's children...and their children's children's children!!! you would live to see so much! some would say it would be sad to outlive your family and loved ones...i think it would be sad...but i mean...you have decades to get over it and in the end by living on they too live on in memory...

you might even meet them again! in some other form. that would be awesome...to witness that kind of odd coincidence.

i don't know. i'd do it...it's not for everyone...but i'd live a thousand years if i could. hell, if i got bored i'd just sleep for a hundred or so. there's so much to do, so many places to go, so many things to see in this little world of ours alone that i can't imagine ever getting sick of it or bored. living that long i'd have the time to invent new things to do!

then, when a thousand years has passed imagine how wise you'd be. imagine all the things you would have seen and done. all the children and progeny you would have sired. you could watch the sun set one more time and then you could sleep...

i often think about that. simply because the world sometimes seems so full of wonder i'm afraid i won't get a chance to see it all. i don't want to miss a thing! which is hard because then i'm a creature of whim sometimes...and society doesn't like that much...people don't like that much.

we want structure and order and perfection. we want everything to go as planned, we want things according to schedule and rigid planning. numbers and science and 90 degree angles that are so hard and real.

strangely...i don't think the universe is like that...in fact...i think the universe is nothing BUT chaos, disorder, entropy, random coincidence, serendipity, statistics, percentages, and all the wonder of a surprise you never were expecting all in one. it has rules, sure, but these are rules that we have discovered...we need rules...the universe does its own thing...whether or not you want it to.

stephen hawking theorized that entropy is inevitable...that no matter what you do...no matter how hard you try...everything adds to the overall decay of the cosmos. even picking up messes and keeping things clean causes you to emit thermal radiation which in turn only adds to the overall entropy. you can't escape it.

it's almost like the universe is a giant mathematic that is continually trying to solve itself but can't so it just tries again...and again...and again...and with each iteration it only wears itself out more...until at last the answer is zero and

>PoP!<

the end of the universe as we know it...

...though that probably won't be for a billion billion years or so. so don't worry your little heads tonight whilst turning in to bed. you'll wake up just like every other day and the sun will be shining and the people will be stirring and all the illusion of order will be there for you...your clock will tell you the time and you'll begin your routine...

get up

take shower

eat breakfast

brush teeth

go to work

each action repleat with a set of "sub-routines"

you could set a clock to it...

but then

something might happen that'll throw it all off...totally mess up your entire schedule...completely ruin your plans...

that's the universe...it's speaking directly to you.

you should enjoy it you know.

;-)
